incoming advice for freshman

your experiences will be different from other people because you are a different person. Although you might be nervous about a variety of aspects of high school life, remember there’s a good chance you’ll easily adjust within a short time. If you go in with confidence and keep a strong support system, you’ll have the time of your life. You’ve always been told it’s important to do well in school, but that’s especially true in high school. Your grades, class choices, and extracurricular activities during these four years impact the colleges and jobs available to you after graduation. As a young adult, you’ll be expected to be a lot more independent and make choices for your own future. While you can still have plenty of fun at school, it’s time to start taking your education seriously if you haven’t in the past. you need to take your grades serious because if you fail then you are going to be behind and you don’t want that because then its going to affect the rest of your high school years. also watch who you call your friends because when a lot of kids come into high school they start making friends with a lot of kids and start  a lot of drama so just watch who you hang out with but also don’t be a homebody, go out and enjoy your highschool life

prescription drugs

the pro/con articles are showing us both sides on why ads for prescriptions are good and bad. some of the article states for the pro side is A 2010 Prevention Magazine survey reported that 29 million patients talked to their doctors about a medical condition after seeing DTC prescription drug ads and most discussed behavioral and lifestyle changes; over half of those patients received non-prescription or generic drugs rather than the brand-name prescription drug seen in the ad, meaning that talking to the doctor was the real benefit. so by the people telling their doctors about the medication that they see on the ad is actually helping them. on the other hand, the con article states in Sep. 2013 issue of Journal of General Internal Medicine, 60% of claims made in DTC prescription drug ads aired from 2008 to 2010 “left out important information, exaggerated information, provided opinions, or made meaningless associations with lifestyles.” the importance of the prescription drugs issue is that some people can become addicted to them and it’s easy for them to get the medication so we need to do something about that. i personally feel that after seeing the film in English class that it made me realize just how much prescription drugs can have an effect on a person, we should be careful and look thoroughly when people come into the clinics trying to get medication.

to my readers that are going to see this blog:
